OUTKAST'S SOUNDTRACK ALBUM PUSHED BACK

OutKast was initially scheduled to release Idlewild, the soundtrack to their new movie, on December 6th, but that date has now been pushed back and the set is now expected sometime early next year. Big Boi told Billboard, "We're trying to pick the single right now. It's all about a gut instinct."

SOHH.com reports that HBO Films will also push back the release of the film, My Life In Idlewild, so that the soundtrack and movie can be released in conjunction.

The film stars OutKast, Terrence Howard, Paula Jai Parker, Ving Rhames, Faizon Love, Malinda Williams, Patti LaBelle, Ben Vereen, Macy Gray, and Cicely Tyson. In the movie, Big Boi's character is involved in a love triangle and has to choose between his dream of being a businessman and his family. Andre 3000's character falls in love with someone from out of town, which motivates him to follow his dream.

The project was directed by Bryan Barber.
