    1. Nas on Def Jam - the outcome is unpredictable...Not sure on that one but lets hope he goes back to the essence....hint, hint...ILLMATIC 2K6

    2. An Album...nah...but a hot single will work...I'm looking forward to that...not that blend remix ishhh that's circulating the net...

    3. Nas will most likely stay neutral....I'd be surprised if he jumps into this....staying focused on illmatic 2k6 should be his top priority....

I aint holla at ya'll inna minute (Yo, R.Motions, you know I GOTTA get at that Cam/Jay situation!!!! Your next comments question should be "Has Cam Lost His Muthafuckin Mind?"). No jokes tho, this Nas shit is some potentially historical shit. But lemme run it down, tho'.

    1. NAS ON DEF JAM
Like tha dude L.Slugger said, that shit is crazy unpredictable. That nigga Nas, for all his talent, has been proven a hard nigga to get along wit. His up/down/left/right personality has been proven. He stay switchin steez, comin at niggas (Nore, Cam, Mobb Deep,Russel Simmons, Lyor Cohen, Funk Flex, Angie Martinez, 50), apologizin' for the shit later. Thats tha shit niggas say about Game. He has never been able to break a new artist (AZ came off tha strength of the "Life' A Bitch". AZ put himself on). Quan, yea, but thats one or two joints. Bravehearts have no real guidance. Ill Will as a lable barely exists. His ability to work with others is questionable.

Flipside, Jigga, while being credited for his lable moves, seems to have a problem developing his artists. I dont giva fuck what anyone says, Roc aint push nobody platinum. Killa did it very much off his own strength (he can pick a single "Oh Boy", "Hey Ma"), and if anybody else gets credit at Roc, its Dame. Kanye had to get his own shit played at first, and his genius is undeniable at this point. But once again, that was Dame's project at the begining. Bleek couldnt ever recoup in full off his hardly gold joints, and for real, he has some commercial appeal. Beans, whose talent is up there with the greats, can't go platinum to save his life. Tha nigga's a fuckin Beast!!! Young Gunz have got skills (that nigga Chris MURDERED tha roc-a-fella mixtapes), but nobody outside a Philly knows because Jay lets 'em put out shit that he obviously knows is garbage. Freeway had a good buzz with monster singles ("What We Do", "Flipside"), but nope, he aint sell shit neither. The point of executive producers and lables is to refine the artists' sound and make him marketable. If you cant do that with talented artists, you are not doing your job. Their beat choices on the albums are often a problem; while not usually really bad tracks, they often don't complement the artist properly. It makes you wonder if Jay has a problem translating his ear for music to others, and more importantly, why. Is he really holding them back due to a subconscious need to be the leader of the pack? Maybe thats where his genius stops. Either way, I wonder how his ego would play in dealing with Nas, who is prone to getting emotional and sayin slick shit.

What tha fuck I do know is that this is an opportunity to bring Hip Hop back. 2 of the Kings of New York '90s Hip Hop are still alive, and now on the same side. They need to concentrate on breaking new artists that represent true lyricism and love for this rap thing, rather than all these "Im Not a Rapper, Im A Ganster/Hustler/Pimp,Etc" muthafuckaz that are killin' hip hop right now. I aint hatin', niggas need to make money, but as a true fan of tha art, I wanna here cats who really love they craft, not dudes who is tryin' to make a quick dolla. Wit Hov and Esco as guides, they should be able to break nothin' but pure hip hop joints every time DefJam/Roc,IllWill drops somethin. On some hood shit, yea, Nas kinda look funny style signin wit a nigga who he supposedly hate over that "condom on the baby seat" "thats my seed, son" shit. But if niggas get over that, they will provide the much needed competitive edge the game needs
    right now.

    2. WILL THERE BE A GOD MCs LP?
An album is potentially possible, but thats only if er'thing goes right in the first year (i.e., Nas coming out with a commerically successful, critically acclaimed LP under Def Jam). Or, if Fif, Dipset, or some form of competition, raises tha steaks by smashin the industry on some otha shit. I doubt that tho, but....

    3. KILLA SEASON or has "ESCOBAR SEASON" RETURNED?
Yall know they shit got pretty personal. Whereas Mob Deep and Mega always had an on/off relationship wit Nas, that nigga Cam FLIPPED on Nas when he said his name. Tha shit he said about Nas's family affairs and character were enough to make Nas say he was gonna sue at one point (till his peoples musta explained to him that suin' a nigga aint street). Jimmy went at him particularly hard, and you know they are gonna say somethin direct now that the everybody knows his with Hov. I think Cam's "Killa Season" is gonna be on some Fif shit; he's gonna be gettin at a lotta niggaz. Yea, eventually he's gonna say Nas's name, and its on. Jay should sign DBlock, and spark a three way war with GUnit and Dipset. Aight, thats over the top, but its a looong year ahead of us....
