G-Unit and Roc-A-Fella hooking up for a 'keep hope alive' concert
By: Yves Erwin Salomon
The G-Unit and the Roc-A-Fella Records crew toured together on 2003's Roc The Mic tour, and it appears the two camps are still getting along. SOHH.com reports that G-Unit artists Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo will join Roc-A-Fella recording artists Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz, Freeway, and Teairra Marie at the Keep Hope Alive concert on March 3rd at the DCUCenter in Worcester, Massachusetts.
In addition to the concert, the G-Unit and Roc-A-Fella will also be working together on Freeway's forthcoming album, Free At Last. Jay-Z and 50 Cent will co-executive-produce the project, which will be released on Roc-A-Fella Records.
Free At Last is slated to feature guest appearances by Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Beanie Sigel, Nate Dogg, and Black Thought.
