Juelz Santana Working on Mixtapes, Def Jam Album

Juelz Santana Working on Mixtapes, Def Jam Album

Diplomats rapper Juelz Santana is hard at work in the studio, prepping several mixtapes as well as scheduled cameos with artists outside of the Dip Set camp.

Juelz has been working closely with New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne, as the two are set on dropping a collaborative mixtape titled “I Can’t Feel My Face.” “We already got seven joints done,” Santana said recently. In addition he is finishing two solo mixtapes, “Rehab” and “Relapse,” which will be released consecutively. The Harlem rapper is slated to work alongside big-name beatmakers such as Pharrell Williams, Dr. Dre, and Swizz Beats, as well as rappers E-40, Ludacris, LL Cool J, and Trick Daddy on their respective albums.

In a press conference last week, fellow Diplomats member Cam’ron also stated that Santana’s third official album will hit stores by the end of the year on Def Jam Recordings.

In light of Cam’s recent feud with Def Jam president Jay-Z, fans have raised concerns over whether this will affect Juelz Santana, who is currently signed to the Def Jam roster. “We don’t really deal hands-on with Jay,” Santana said at last week’s press conference, “It’s not going to affect me.” "It's not really about my take," he added. "My man did what he had to do, so I'm here to support him by any means necessary. He's like a big brother to me. He's the one that's the founder of my whole career. We stick by each other no matter what it is."
