Man Shot and Killed on Set of New Busta Rhymes Video

Gunfire erupted early yesterday morning (Sunday, February 5th) on the set of Busta Rhymes's new video in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, New York. CBS News reports that 14 shots were fired from an AK-47 assault rifle, killing one man and leaving an SUV riddled with bullets. The man, Israel Ramirez, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead a short time later. Ramirez was a bodyguard hired by the Music Production Studio and Kiss The Cactus Productions.
No arrests have been made but police are reviewing surveillance footage. They are also trying to ascertain if the shooting was related to Rhymes or any of his associates.
Rhymes was inside the production studio at the time of the shooting and was not hurt.
Rhymes was making his latest video, "Touch It (Remix)" The rapper has released three remixes to the song featuring several artists. The video will feature guest spots by Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, DMX, Papoose, Rah Digga, Lloyd Banks, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Winky Wright, Gary Sheffield, and others.
Rhymes will release his new album, The Big Bang, in April.
