DJ WhooKid Working on Michael Jackson and 50 Cent Collaboration
By: Yves Erwin Salomon
DJ Whookid toured and deejayed around the world well before he hooked up with the G-Unit in 2002. Now that he's part of the hottest crew in rap music, he's been trying to broker some out-of-this-world collaborations. MTV.com reports that DJ Whookid recently spent some time in Bahrain with Michael Jackson, and he was later able to put the superstar on the phone with 50 Cent to discuss possibly working together.
DJ Whookid; Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa; the Sheikh's son; John Legend; model Tyson Beckford; and Michael Jackson all recently had dinner together in Bahrain.
Whookid was initially surprised to see Jackson and later at dinner, Jackson invited Whookid to sit next to him. The deejay explained, "Mike was like, 'Whookid, come sit over here.'I was like, poinng! He was supposed to be there for like 45 minutes; he stayed for five hours. We was talking about Eminem. He was like, 'Is Eminem really retired?'I forgot that Eminem totally cremated him in one video ('Lose It'), but (Michael) didn't even bring it up. Then he started talking about 50."
Whookid added, "You can't talk to Mike all fluffy like everyone does. I got him to curse -- he said 's--t.'I told him he needs to cut his hair, get some million-dollar earrings, get a million-dollar watch, and take all them spaceship clothes off. He said, 'I have to change my whole outlook.' He said he was trying to work out."
The jury is still out on whether Jackson and 50 Cent will record together.
