E-40 Says 'Ghetto Report Card' is a well rounded album
By: Yves Erwin Salomon
Vallejo, California-based rapper E-40 will release his new album, which is called My Ghetto Report Card, on Tuesday (March 14th). The album features guest appearances by Lil'Scrappy, Bohagon, Mike Jones, Juelz Santana, Turf Talk, B-Legit, the Federation, 8Ball, and UGK.
When we spoke with E-40, he explained that the new album is well-rounded: "We hyphy. We, we, we, we, we, we struggle rap. We, you know what I mean, we crunk. We all that. You smell me? That's what this album is. It's the complete package. It's all four corners of the game, you smell me? That's what's cooking and it ain't for play, you smell me? It ain't bananas. It's coconuts."
The rapper added that although he's signed to Lil'Jon and worked with the producer on the project, the album is more than southern rap: "This album is vintage E-40 with a new-school twist. You smell me? And don't get it twisted. With this album, don't think that I'm just... all my tracks are southern driven."
The first single from the project is "Tell Me When 2 Go" featuring Keak The Sneak.
