Remy Ma Denies G-Unit Records Rumors

The Terror Squad's Remy Ma had a very public beef with Fat Joe and SRC Records CEO Steve Rifkind last month because she felt the two men weren't putting enough time and energy behind her debut album, There's Something About Remy. Reports began to surface that she might be leaving the Terror Squad to record for Fat Joe's rival 50 Cent and his G-Unit Records. But last Friday (March 17th), Remy Ma's management released a statement denying that the rapper was making a move to G-Unit Records. The statement read, "We definitely haven't heard anything about this and she's still signed to SRC/Universal."

Prior to the release of Ma's debut last month, Fat Joe explained how important the project was: "Where that puts us is in a hard position because Lil'Kim's first album that Biggie did with her is phenomenal. Foxy Brown's first album is phenomenal, so Remy has to make a phenomenal album. We understand what we need to do, you know, so she can be legendary and she can be, you know, hands down the greatest chick in the game."

Remy Ma was discovered by the late Big Pun in the late 90s and signed to Rifkind's Loud Records. Ma later re-signed with Rifkind at SRC Records after Loud Records was dissolved.
