T.I. Hooks up with Sprint to Give Fans Preview of the New Album
By: Yves Erwin Salomon
Atlanta-based rapper T.I. has hooked up with Sprint PCS for an exclusive opportunity to allow his fans to download his new single, "What You Know," plus the bonus track "Ride Wit Me," directly from their mobile phones. Under the agreement, every track from the rapper's forthcoming new album, King, will be available as music tones and call tones. Music tones are used instead of a traditional ringer, while call tones are heard by the caller while waiting for someone to answer the phone.
T.I. will also upload exclusive footage of himself and his crew making the rounds during the week leading up to the album's release on March 28th, as well as clips from his new movie, ATL.
King will feature guest appearances by Jamie Foxx, Young Jeezy, Pharrell Williams, Young Buck, and UGK.
T.I.'s big screen debut, ATL, opens March 31st. The film also stars OutKast's Big Boi. The project was executive-produced by Dallas Austin, whose previous movie credits include Drumline.
