DMX involved in Child Support Battle
By: Yves Erwin Salomon
Rapper DMX might be taking a heavy financial hit soon as a woman in Buffalo, New York, is seeking an additional $10,000 a month in child support. Vibe.com reports that Davita Oden is already receiving $5,000 a month from the rapper per a temporary support agreement, and now she's requesting a $10,000 a month increase. Oden is the mother of four-year-old Jada, who was proven to be DMX's daughter through a paternity test. Oden's lawyer, Suzanne Kimberly Bracker, said, "DMX did the DNA test. He admitted paternity, then he tried to deny it."
DMX and his wife, Tashera Simmons, have three children. Mrs. Simmons hasn't gone on the record in regards to her husband's extra-marital activities.
The rapper is also facing another paternity claim from a Maryland woman.
DMX's new album, Year Of The Dog, Again, is due August 1st.
