Block Records/KOCH Records Set to Release "D-Block CD/DVD Mixtape
NEW YORK, NY -- (Market Wire - Jun 09, 2006) -- D-Block Records / KOCH Records announces the release of the "D-Block CD/DVD Mixtape," a new CD/DVD by one of New York's most respected cliques, D-Block.
A video for "Devine"/"Everything Ya Got" will be serviced shortly to all key National and local video networks. The video was directed by Dale Restighini (Juelz Santana, Cam'ron, DJ KaySlay).
The label D-Block was created by Sheek Louch with lifelong friends, Styles P and Jadakiss. J-Hood is the newest member to enter the fold. The first release on D-Block was Sheek Louch's 2003 debut album, "Walk Witt Me," which sold over 250,000 units.
Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss are members of The Lox, the Yonkers-based group who were a backbone of Sean "Puffy" Combs' Bad Boy label. Hired as writers, the trio wrote and performed on Comb's "It's All About the Benjamins," Mase's "24 Hrs. to Live," the Notorious B.I.G.'s "Last Day," Mary J. Blige's "Can't Get You Off My Mind," and many others.
The Lox released their debut album, "Money, Power & Respect" in 1998 -- it reached #3 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts. To date, The Lox has sold 1.7 million albums.
Sheek Louch released his debut album under the new partnership between D-Block Records and KOCH Records in 2005, titled "After Taxes," which debuted at #22 on the Billboard Top 200.
The DVD portion of the package contains over 120 minutes of video footage, including a documentary, exclusive music videos, behind-the-scenes footage and much more.

"D-BLOCK", YOU BITCH ASS NIGGAZ!"
THATS WHAT THA FUCK IS UP, MY DUDES FINALLY GETTIN ON THE BUSINESS THE PROPER WAY. KISS IS STILL THE TRUE HEIR TO HOV'S THRONE (OR AT LEAST DMX'S). STYLES; WELL HE SAID IT BEST: "...MIGHT NOT SELL/ BUT WHAT THA FUCK, WHEN IT COMES TO BEIN' HARD IMA LEGEND/STYLES P, I AM THE STREETS...". SHEEK HAS STEPPED IT UP AS OF LATE, MAKIN' HIM A COMPETETOR WITH ANY OF THESE HALF ASSED NEW CATS. THEY DESERVE THE MONEY THAT SHOULD GO WITH THEIR CLOUT. AFTER THE BEANIE/KISS WAR THEY HAD A GOOD BUZZ BUT LET IT FALL OFF. THE SAME AFTER THE G-UNIT CLASH, WHICH THEY ACTUALLY WON, BUT STILL DIDNT CAPITALIZE. WHAT THA FUCK HAPPENED TO THE DEF JAM DEAL? NIGGAZ WAS WAITIN FOR THAT JAY/KISS UNION, BUT IT NEVER MATERIALIZED. WHAT DO YALL THINK THEY NEED TO DO TO GET RIGHT? ANOTHER BEEF (MAYBE VS DIPSET). MAYBE BREAK A NEW ARTIST (HOOD IS GOOD, BUT HE AINT ENOUGH TO BE THE FACE OF THE NEW D-BLOCK). MAYBE BETTER BEAT CHOICES, BETTER PROMOTION, PROBABLY ALLA THAT. I HOPE THIS CD/DVD SHIT GETS THEM PAID ENOUGH TO GET SOME REAL DOE BEHIND THEIR MOVEMENT. HOLLA AT ME.
