Former Bad Boy Hit Man, Searches for Hip-Hop’s next star, with “The Celebrity Makers”

Washington, DC - Ron “Amen Ra” Lawrence, “P. Diddy’s” former right hand and the man responsible for hit songs such as : Jay-Z’s “I know what girls like”, the Lox’s “Money Power & Respect”, and Salt & Pepa’s “Hyped on the Mic” , recently announced the launch of his nationwide talent search, entitled: “The Celebrity Makers.”


Celebrity makers will conduct a 10 city tour, looking for the best today’s hip-hop culture has to offer. As part of the project, the first 1000 entries received from each of the 10 cities will be reviewed by top music industry professionals then narrowed down to 100 semi-finalists from each city. The 100 semi-finalists’ names and photos will be posted along with a 5 second video clip of their entry at www.thecelebritymakers.com.


Under Lawrence’s masterful eye, 10 of urban America’s most talented individuals will have a chance to battle for their lifelong dream to become professional entertainers. Performing against fierce competition, the 10 finalists will be critiqued on their stage presence, star power, vocal talent, and dancing ability.


Currently underway, the project will be in city near you soon. Striving stars in the Richmond and surrounding areas, will get their chance on Saturday, July 22nd as “The Celebrity Makers” presents an Unsigned Hype Hip-Hop and R&B talent show at the renowned Cotton Club.
