G-unit's DJ Whoo Kid and R&B Newcomer Kev Samples Proclaim the "Death of R&B"

New York (PRWEB) June 2, 2006 -- Kev Samples, a hot new R&B singer today released a mix-tape with DJ Whoo Kid of G-Unit proclaiming the “Death of R&B”. The 12 track mix-tape features parodies and scathing disses of some of R&B’s current stars including Jaime Foxx, Ne-Yo, T-Paine and Ray J. Atlanta native Kev Samples throws down the gauntlet on R&B’s current stars as he states his disdain for the current state of R&B because of the lack of quality music. “The Death of R&B” is the prelude to Samples upcoming album “Screaming for More” to be released on Outlandish Entertainment this September.

Samples pokes fun at T-Paine’s singing ability and song content with “Only Tricks Love a Stripper” while stating Ray J received the leftover signing talents from big sister Brandy on his parody of “One Wish”. Kev Samples also demonstrates his vocal range and versatility on remakes of “I Ain’t Gonna Leave” by Trey Songz and “Let Me Hold You” by Bow Wow and Omarion

“I am tired of all the watered down R&B being released,” said Kev Samples. “I want to take it back to the days where people actually listened to the lyrics and could relate to the song instead of waiting for a catchy hook”.

Kev Samples is currently in the studio putting the final touches on his debut album, “Screaming for More”, which will include production from Scott Storch, Cool & Dre and Red Spyda amongst others.
