Rapper DMX was taken into custody (Thursday, June 29th) when he appeared at a White Plains, New York courthouse after a warrant had been issued for his arrest. E! Online reports that bail was set at $25,000 for the rapper. DMX's latest legal woes are the product of him missing yet another court date. The rapper was initially due in court on June 16th to answer charges stemming from a traffic stop on June 2nd. The court date was postponed twice, but when DMX failed to show up to court on Wednesday (June 28th), Judge Barbara Leak issued a warrant for his arrest.
During the June 2nd traffic stop, the rapper was pulled over for driving erratically and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was also ticketed for driving without a seatbelt and an unsafe lane change.
In related news, DMX was also pulled over and ticketed for driving on the shoulder of the Hutchinson River Parkway in Harrison, New York on June 11th.
On June 16th, police in Scottsdale, Arizona, cited him for carrying a concealed handgun outside a nightclub when they spotted the rapper placing the weapon underneath the driver's seat of his vehicle.
