Rick Ross Sets Sail In August

Miami rapper Rick Ross is preparing for the August 8th release of his Slip-N-Slide/Def Jam debut, Port of Miami.

Following on the heels of his highly acclaimed single "Hustlin'" and it's remix with Jay-Z and Young Jeezy, Port of Miami features production from "Hustlin" producers The Runners, Jazze Pha, DJ Khaled, Akon (who also sings on the album) and Cool & Dre. Lil' Wayne, Lyfe Jennings, Mario Winans and Miami's Carol City Cartel also make guest appearances on the album.

Ross, who also has verses on DJ Khaled's "Holler At Me" and Dre's "Chevy Ridin' High," plans to release his second single "Blow" on July 24th. Benny Boom will be directing the video.

In related news, Rick Ross is also scheduled to perform at this year's 1stAnnual OZONE Magazine Awards. In addition to joining Lil Wayne, T.I., UGK, Slim Thug, Too $hort, and Trick Daddy onstage, Ross has also been nominated for three awards.

Port Of Miami is scheduled to hit stores on August 8th, while The 1st Annual Ozone Magazine Awards will take place on August 6th.
