T.I's Protege Young Dro to Release Debut Album

Atlanta-based rapper Young Dro was childhood friends with Kris Kross'Daddy Mack and T.I. He was able to use those relationships to secure a deal with T.I.'s Grand Hustle label in 2004 and now the rapper is set to release his debut album, Best Thang Smokin, on August 29th.

The album will feature guest appearances by Slim Thug, T.I., and Xtaci with production by Jazze Pha, Chad West, Keith Mack, Khao, and Lil C.

The lead single from the project, "Shoulder Lean," is a bonafide hit and the rapper has also been able to cash in on the mobile side. Over 500,000 "Shoulder Lean" ringtones have been sold so far making it the Warner Music Group's best selling ringtone.
