The Clipse have no problems with Foxy Brown

The Clipse will release their new album, Hell Hath No Fury, on October 31st. The lead single from the project is "Mr. Me Too" featuring Pharrell Williams. The next single and video from the project will be "Wamp Wamp." The song has been the source of some controversy as the track was initially created for Foxy Brown.
But according to The Clipse's Pusha, once Brown suffered her hearing loss, the beat became the group's. He told MTV.com, "Then Foxy's hearing problem kicked in. After that happened, Pharrell and Jay-Z had a conversation -- I wasn't there -- they basically said she was counted out. We liked the beat. It was passed over."
Brown successfully underwent surgery to restore her hearing and according to Pusha, "Jay-Z supposedly came like, 'Oh, she's back. Let's get that beat back.'That's where all the discrepancy came from."
The Clipse's Malice added, "With us, it ain't no controversy. We followed the same protocol we would with any other beat. We hear it, we like it, we get it from Pharrell. We ain't go behind nobody's back to get this beat. When we get a beat, it's never contingent on 'maybe this or that.'"
The rapper added, "I don't even sit down and write like that. If a track is mine, I do my thing to it. I don't write and wait and see. ... Maybe it's an issue with Pharrell and his people. As far as I'm concerned, it's ours. We got the record; there's nothing to talk about. I ain't got no problem with nobody. I'm great. The best thing that came out of all this is that she got her hearing back."
