Lloyd Banks gets ready!

By: Yves Erwin Salomon

G-Unit's Lloyd Banks will release his new album, The Rotten Apple, on September 19th. The set features guest appearances by 50 Cent, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, Mobb Deep, Spider Loc, Timbaland, Scarface, Rakim, 8Ball, and Musiq Soulchild.

When we spoke with Banks, he shared that he was more comfortable while recording his sophomore album then he was when he recorded his double platinum 2004 debut, Hunger For More. The rapper explained how the first time around he felt compelled to stick to the game plan. He said: "Listen man I'm doing what I know they want to hear. Bottom-line, I'm not doing anything different. This is what they want to hear. On you second album, your creative, your edge is a lot more higher."

The rapper added: "You know I just want people to grow with me, you know, 'cause the records are gonna change up."

The latest single from The Rotten Apple is "Hands Up" featuring 50 Cent.
