Mike Jones Begins Production on First Feature Film

Mike Jones commenced filming in Houston this week for what will be his first feature-length movie. The project, titled American Dream, will chronicle the rapper’s rise from local underground artist to a platinum-selling national star. The movie, which shares its name with Jones’ upcoming sophomore album, will be co-written and directed by indie filmmaker Derrick Dixon, and executive produced by Mike himself along with Asylum Records and Warner Bros Records. Filming will take place throughout Houston until September 15. In related news, Mike Jones recently opened a nightclub in Houston called Club Iceage.
