Trick Daddy to release new album in December
By: Yves Erwin Salomon
Miami-based rapper Trick Daddy will release his seventh album, Back By Thug Demand, on December 12th. The rapper recently released a song, "Breaker, Breaker," which some thought contained a subliminal diss of Miami man of the moment, Rick Ross.
Trick Daddy told MTV.com, "That's how I feel. That's how I represent. A lot of people try to make it seem like that song is about this person or that person. Listen, man. I'm the first person that told anybody that Rick Ross was good at what he do. ... And one thing about me: I don't sneak dis. So nothing was about Ross or nobody in particular. That was for anybody who didn't think that I ran this whole state, who didn't think I was the Dade County mayor. That was what that song was written about."
The first single from Back By Thug Demand is "Bet That" featuring Chamillionaire. The album will also feature guest appearances by 8Ball & MJG, Baby, Lil Wayne, Webbie, Young Buck and Young Dro.
In related news, Trick Daddy has formed his own label, Dunk Ryders. He's also working on a five-person group by the same name which will include three rappers, one female singer and a producer.
