Styles P comfortable holding down the title
By: Yves Erwin Salomon
The Lox's Styles P latest album, Time Is Money, entered the Billboard 200 albums chart this week at Number 79 after selling 46,000 copies its first week in stores. While at a glance the numbers may low, when you factor in the rapper's lack of a single or video and consider that the album is three years old, it paints a different picture. During the three year delay, several of the album's songs have turned up on mixtapes.
Styles P has developed a reputation as a no nonsense rapper and he's even rapped about being the hardest rapper out there. He recently shared his thoughts on holding down the title. The rapper said: "Nah I don't really mind, I mean it comes along with it. If you say something like that I have to be fully prepared for whatever comes. To tell you the truth, it's like people been....I've been wondering why for so long nobody ain't been going for it."
The rapper added: "Like they start a little bit then they just leave me alone. But nah it don't matter 'cause it keeps me on my toes, man. I don't mind staying on my toes, man."
