Styles P has mixed emotions about the release of new album
By: Yves Erwin Salomon
Lox member and D-Block co-CEO Styles P finally released his sophomore album, Time Is Money, on Tuesday, December 19th. The rapper has had to wait three years to release the set while he dealt with label politics of Interscope Records and the Ruff Ryders.
Styles P told us of the delayed release: "I mean obviously I wish it was three years ago. And I wish nobody never heard the songs, some of the songs that they heard before. But as an artist I feel great, as a business person I'm like 'aaaah.'"
The rapper added: "'Cause on the business side I know what you need to do good, you know what I mean? Like I don't have a single. I don't have a video. I don't have any of them things but then I got a good strong faith in myself and the fans that love me. So I'm like I got mixed emotions on it but overall I guess I would say I'm more glad to have it out so the fans get the opportunity to hear the songs that they didn't hear."
Time Is Money features guest appearances from Akon, Gerald Levert, Jagged Edge, J -Hood, Mario Winans, Floetry's Marsha Ambrosius, Rashad, Talib Kweli and The Lox with production by Swizz Beatz, Akon, and Scott Storch
