Young Hot Rod ready to make his mark

Arizona-based rapper Young Hot Rod is the latest signee to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records label and he plans to release his debut album, Fastlane, early next year. The lead single from the project is "Be Easy" featuring Mary J. Blige. The song was produced by Dr. Dre.

Hot Rod shared that his debut is done but he's still recording. The rapper said: "The album is done, you know what I'm sayin'? I mean of course we're still recording. You know, you don't stop recording, you know, until basically the very last minute. You can pump out another hit, you know, leading up to the release date. But the album is done."

Hot Rod added: "I didn't come from the same background that you know they came from. So you're not gonna hear you know the same kind of content. My content isn't aggressive. The content is mainly focused on partying. You know have a good time. You know girls, cars."
