By: Yves Erwin Salomon
The Game's manager Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond, Russell Simmons, Dr. Benjamin Chavis, and boxing champ Bernard Hopkins visited Jamaica last month to get an up close and personal look at what was going on in the small Caribbean country. Following the trip, Rosemond has pledged his efforts to help Upliftment Jamaica, an organization dedicated to educating and raising awareness amongst youth, in hopes of empowering a bright future for them and their homeland.
Rosemond, who is of Haitian decent, said in a released statement, "People need to be mindful of the other side of Jamaica besides the vacation resorts. As a successful person of Caribbean descent, I take it upon myself to get involved with programs such as 'Upliftment Jamaica'to help bring awareness to the impoverished conditions in Jamaica."
Rosemond is also involved with Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti organization which is hard at work in Haiti.
