Lil Wayne hit with lawsuit after missing show

By: Yves Erwin Salomon

Cash Money rapper Lil Wayne may have to pay up after missing a show in Tampa, Florida. The Associated Press reports that on January 19th, Nunoise Entertainment and Jahfari Promotions filed a lawsuit in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court asking for the rapper to make up the performance or cover over $45,000 in costs associated with the missed show.

Lil Wayne has already returned the $15,000 deposit that he was given for the October show but declined to make up the missed show.

According to the promoters, they lost over $200,000 due to the cancellation.

In related news, Lil Wayne, who is the self-proclaimed best rapper alive, is working on a new album, Tha Carter III.
