Snoop Dogg, Pharrell Williams, Akon & Others get down with Al Gore

Snoop Dogg, Pharrell Williams, John Legend, Akon, and the Black Eyed Peas are some of the acts who have agreed to take part in a series of international concerts being put together by former vice-president Al Gore that are aimed at raising awareness of environmental issues particularly global warming. MTV.com reports that the concerts will take place on July 7th in seven cities: London; Shanghai, China; Sydney, Australia; Johannesburg, South Africa; and cities to be determined in Brazil, Japan and the United States.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fall Out Boy, Kelly Clarkson, John Mayer, the Foo Fighters, AFI, Sheryl Crow, Lenny Kravitz, Bon Jovi, Paolo Nutini, Melissa Etheridge, Damien Rice, Corinne Bailey Rae, Duran Duran, Snow Patrol, Enrique Iglesias, ManĂ¡, Keane, Korn, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and Bloc Party are some of the artists scheduled to participate. Additional performers will be announced later.
Al Gore, Cameron Diaz, Pharrell Williams, and concert organizer Kevin Wall announced the concert on Thursday, February 15th, at the California Science Center.
