FOXY BROWN EXPLAINS LATEST ARREST: Rapper says she was dragged out of store half naked and racially harassed by cops.

*"The only crime I'm guilty of is being a young black woman," said rapper Foxy Brown, addressing her Feb. 15 arrest at a beauty supply store in Pembroke Pines, Fla.


The artist, born Inga Marchand, spoke publicly about the incident for the first time Monday at Brown Memorial Baptist Church in Brooklyn. She is accused of throwing hair glue at store owner Hayssam Ghoneim, then spitting on him and pushing him after he asked her to leave the bathroom so that the shop could close for the evening.


Brown said she was only going to the bathroom, but the store owner would not let her finish and began dragging her out while she was still half-dressed.


"I was exposed from the waist down on the toilet," she told reporters.


Surveillance footage shows Brown and Ghoneim arguing, but her assistant, Precious Wallace, says her boss is innocent.


"Ms. Marchand did nothing wrong. She used the facilities and wanted to leave," Wallace said, according to New York’s WABC.


Once Foxy did leave, an officer was waiting for her in the parking lot. According to authorities, she used violence while resisting arrest. The rapper, however, has a different story.


"I'm the victim of an overzealous police department who engaged in police brutality and a money hungry store owner whose motives are for me to pay his mortgage on his house and his children's tuition," Brown said Monday.


She also said her recent court-ordered anger management courses led her to diffuse the situation.


"I demonstrated what I learned during my anger management classes and that is not to engage. I did not commit or assault anyone," Brown said.

The 27-year-old is due back in court this week after being charged with resisting an officer and simple battery. She could end up behind bars if a judge decides that her latest offense violated the probation given in her 2004 cell phone assault on two manicurists.
