Mariah moves film crew to tears
*Some crew members on the Nashville set of Mariah Carey’s upcoming film “Tennessee” were reportedly moved to tears during a scene in which the Grammy-winner performs a song she co-wrote with country legend, Willie Nelson.
In the film, Carey stars as an aspiring country singer who escapes her controlling husband in New Mexico and moves to the country music capital, Nashville, with two brothers.
According to director Aaron Woodley, Carey and the crew hit the honky-tonk club Second Fiddle last week to shoot her performance of “Right To Dream,” a song co-written by Nelson and performed in the scene with Nelson’s harmonica player, Mickey Raphael.
"People were weeping on the crew when she sang it," director Woodley told The Tennessean. "It's very moving, especially in the context of the film and her character."
