Grammy Award winner Kanye West, Rod Stewart, and Lily Allen have been added to the lineup of the July 1st concert at Wembley Stadium in honor of the late Princess Diana. The show's lineup already includes Duran Duran, Elton John, Joss Stone and Pharrell Williams.
The Associated Press reports that the concert was planned by Prince William and Prince Harry to celebrate what would have been their mother's 46th birthday on July 1st. The event also marks the tenth anniversary of her death in Paris in August of 1997.
The concert will also feature a performance by the English National Ballet and songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber in honor of Diana's love of dancing and theater. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the charities that Diana supported while she was alive.
In related news, an inquest will begin in October to finally investigate the infamous crash that took the life of Princess Diana, her friend Dodi Fayed and their bodyguard. The trio were killed when their Mercedes crashed inside the Pont d'Alma tunnel in Paris while being chased by paparazzi.
