50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, & Others Targeted By Chicago Church Billboards

50 Cent, the G-Unit, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Nelly, Fat Joe and Twista are some of the artists featured on billboards throughout Chicago which urge people to "Stop Listening to Trash." MTV.com reports that the billboards were posted by a local church, Faith Community of St. Sabina.
The church's leader Reverend Michael Pfleger said in a released statement, "If we are going to end the violence and disrespect of women, we must fight every form of negativity, including the music industry."
In related news, 50 Cent will release his new album, Curtis, in September. He shared that this album was very personal. The rapper said: "Actually the album for me is a little more personal than the last two records. I mean I used portions of my own experience to create the material that I put on the records. But this album has got a child's innocence to it on some levels like I wrote from a perspective that was earlier in my life than I did during Get Rich Or Die Tryin'."
The first single from the project was "Straight To The Bank," and 50 Cent followed that with "Amusement Park." He explained that "Amusement Park" is a more sexual song. He said: "The following record from there I released was 'Amusement Park.'It was a more sexual record. You know it's a task for me to create material that is sexual from a male perspective that isn't obscene or explicit on some level. You know it's difficult for you to make reference to a male organ in the presence of some women without being disrespectful outside of you mentioning the magic stick."
