Suspect Arrested In Stack Bundles Murder Case

By: Yves Erwin Salomon

Stack Bundles, whose real name was Rayquon Elliott, was shot in killed in the lobby of his Far Rockaway, Queens building on June 11th. Police have a man in custody, Lee Woods, who has been fingered as the trigger man in the shooting. A source told New York's Daily News, "Woods is bad, just bad. He killed Rayquon for a dumb-a-s robbery."

Woods was initially arrested for his role in the ambush of two police officers on Monday (July 9th). Woods was allegedly driving a stolen BMW when two officers approached the vehicle in Brooklyn. The two other men in the BMW, Dexter Bostick and Robert Ellis, allegedly opened fire on the two police officers.

According to Woods, he wasn't in the car when the shots were fired at the cops. He said, "I'm telling you, I didn't do anything. I sat in the car and I chilled with them for a while. Then I said, 'I'm going home.'I got in my car and I left. They got in their car. I don't know what happened after that."

Assistant District Attorney Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi has another theory on what happened. She told the paper, "They were met within seconds by a hail of bullets. The defendant acted in concert with two individuals responsible for nothing less than the attempted execution of two uniformed police officers."

Woods hasn't formally been charged in relation to the Stack Bundles murder but he's currently facing two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, weapons possession and other charges in relation to the ambush of the police officers.
