Beanie Sigel Hooks Up With R. Kelly

Philadelphia-based rapper Beanie Sigel was able to recruit an unlikely guest to appear on his forthcoming album, The Solution. MTV.com reports that Sigel hooked up with R. Kelly for the lead single, "All of the Above." The collaboration was unlikely because Sigel is signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, and Kelly and Roc-A-Fella CEO Jay-Z fell out a few years ago during their Best of Both Worlds tour, which resulted in a series of multi-million dollar lawsuits.
Sigel said, "Yeah, me and Kells....It's crazy. 'All of the Above'(means) everything. Anything that people try to portray (us as), we all of the above......I ain't even know if he was gonna do it. I told him I got this record -- 'cause you know the situation with Jay and him. ... I was like, 'If dude gets on this record, it'll be crazy.'So I sent it out to him, got the response he was gonna do it. (Kelly) knocked it out, he sent it back in like three days."
So far The Solution features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Raheem Devaughn and Scarface but the rapper isn't done recording yet. Sigel said, "I could be done now, but ... what's the setup? They don't have a marketing plan. Until they come up with it, I'm gonna keep recording. We was going to be done, then I kept recording and got the R. Kelly record. I feel whenever I do decide to put the album out, it's gonna do what it's gonna do. I never had no setup, they never gave me no big campaign. I'm not gonna rush this. I have records."
