Dr. Dre Finally Addresses Game/50 Cent Beef
By: Yves Erwin Salomon
Dr. Dre recently did an interview with GQ magazine for the publication's 50th anniversary. The producer, who has become increasingly more visible in recent weeks, finally shared his thoughts on the beef between his two proteges, The Game and 50 Cent.
Dre, who said he consciously didn't address the issue before publicly, told GQ, "This is something that's between labelmates. I've said, 'When you guys are ready to make some music, let's get down. Let's get in the studio.'All that other stuff, that's not for me. This is something they created, so it's something they have to handle. I don't feel like I have to choose a side."
He added, "I knew that this one wasn't gonna go away. I know these guys, and I know nobody is gonna back down."
Dre added that he even called and asked The Game not to diss 50 Cent during a New York interview, at the behest of Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine.
Dr. Dre's new album, DeTox, is almost ready but no release date has been set.
